Dream House....

This is done and fresh in from the photographers. After having it finished for a while now it's nice to finally have a great quality image of it to post online. I'll be flying it up to Ann Arbor soon to drop it off with Dave Menzo and the fine gentlemen of the Dream House.

For now prints are available here:
through the delightful on-demand printing services of Society6.

Original is 43inx19in oil on panel.

Here are a few closeups to show the level of detail a little better.

Banana painting

I'm painting bananas. Mostly it's practice in loosening up a bit, painting textures, getting some more obvious brushstrokes in, but also I think a 4 foot painting of bananas will be awesome to have in my living room.

More progress soon...

Delivery Dudes Poster

This is a promotional poster made for Delivery Dudes, new food delivery service in Portland.
They start Oct. 1st.

It started out as a scanned drawing, I colored the line-work and drew and scanned the text also. A fairly new process for me but one I like quite a bit. I'll absolutely be working like this some more soon.

Kick Ass Portland Trucks

Finished a little series of three paintings of old Portland trucks. They're 8.5x11 each and painted in oil. They're going up for sale in Isla's Gardern Cafe on the Westside of Portland. Their food is incredible and the owners couldn't be nicer, I highly recommend stopping by.

Rosie the Mastiff

This is a portrait of Rosie the Mastiff. It's 30x30 oil.
Heres the finished painting.

Below here are a few closeups.

Down here are a few progress shots. I took some of them with a cellphone camera as a bit of an afterthought but I always think it's interesting to see how a painting filled in.
